Homeopathy in Barnsley
I have been tremendously excited at the prospect of launching my web site and pleased that it reflects so much of what the past 8 years have been about for me professionally.
In the following pages I have attempted to explain a little bit about homeopathy as a system of medicine, the different areas of my practice (including working within the NHS), my background and ongoing training and development along with some patient testimonials about the experience of receiving homeopathic treatment. There are full contact details on the last page.
Homeopathy treats the whole person
Homeopathy is a scientific system of healing that has been established for more than 200 years. In effect the patient and practitioner piece together a jigsaw of the life and health of the patient in order to find a remedy that most closely matches the symptoms of the patient's picture. In so doing homeopathy treats the 'whole person'.
The homeopathic approach to health can complement conventional treatment a patient might also be having. For example, boosting their immune system if they are receiving extreme medication or providing an alternative approach if a patient is overmedicated and wants to try and reduce the amount of tablets they are taking. Working collaboratively is at the centre of my practice and to this end I am privileged to have worked within the NHS since 2005 conducting clinical research treating patients homeopathically. I think it is incredibly important that, as the requirements of healthcare change, we are able to support such patient choice in a safe and controlled environment.
Prior to undertaking my training as a Homeopathy I worked in the IT commercial sector for 10 years and this experience has been hugely helpful in how I manage my practice. My private practice operates from Roundwood Clinic the largest physiotherapy clinic in the area that also offers a comprehensive range of complementary therapies. I feel it is important that patients not only have the reassurance of an established practice with qualified, registered practitioners but that the premises are accessible and comfortable. Almost all medical insurers cover homeopathic treatment.
Barnsley has proved one of the best possible places to set up a practice. Transport links are second to none with five major towns and cities within a 30-minute drive, which has resulted in an exceptionally wide patient profile.
Finally … please get in touch! I am happy to help with your enquiry or try and answer your questions. If you wish to make an appointment for a consultation feel free to contact Roundwood Clinic directly. All details are included on the Contact page.
